Every year on September 28, the day is dedicated to raising awareness about the often-misunderstood issue of penicillin allergy. The date for National Penicillin Allergy Day was chosen because it’s the anniversary of the discovery of penicillin by Alexander Fleming in 1928.
National Penicillin Allergy Day is more than a commemorative date — it’s a call to action.
